Are they safe?

Yes, they are safer than allowing access by home laptops or desktops because the device is under the control of the company domain, any changes have to be made by the IT Administrators.

Can users change settings on the device?

No, apart from small settings like connecting to the WiFi the systems is locked to only allow the programs that are needed to run.

What do I need to use the device?

This is a whole computer, so there are only 3 physical items that you need: a Keyboard a mouse and a monitor.

How does the device keep the company safe?

The device is connected to the company which ensures all control is held with the organisation and not with the individual users. This ensures the data is kept safe and only correct access is applied. It also means that if anybody accessed the staff’s home network, it wouldn’t transfer across to the company network.

Can the device connect to the company network?

Yes, if the device is in the company office’s it can connect to the network. It can also be configured with a VPN to allow access from outside the office’s. If used with Office 365, then the device can access company data from the cloud
